Why choose REBEL Institute of Health?

REBEL Institute of Health provides a unique approach to personalized care. Jillian has an extensive background in the traditional model of healthcare which has prepared her to be able to identify when problems are beyond the scope of solely utilizing lifestyle measures for management. She also puts an emphasis on the foundational methods of lifestyle management. This means her go-to method of treating and diagnosing does not automatically include expensive specialty testing and other extravagant measures.

What is integrative medicine?

Unlike traditional medicine, which often emphasizes symptom management, functional medicine seeks to understand the underlying imbalances and lifestyle factors that contribute to health issues. Integrative medicine is essentially a combination of functional and conventional medicine. It aims to enhance overall health and well-being by creating a personalized treatment plan that draws from the best of both conventional and complementary approaches.

Are your practices Evidence-Based?

Everything we do at REBEL Institute of Health is backed by scientific evidence.

What conditions do you treat?

We treat a wide range of conditions, including hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, chronic fatigue, autoimmune disorders, and weight management concerns.

What ages do you treat? Do you only see women?

We treat ages 0-100+ and we treat both men and women

What can I expect during my initial consultation?

During your initial consultation, we’ll conduct a comprehensive health assessment, discuss your medical history, and identify your specific concerns to develop a personalized plan

How long are your appointments?

Initial appointments typically last about 60-90 minutes, while follow-up visits are usually around 30-45 minutes.

Why don't you accept insurance?

Many insurance companies have limitations on coverage for functional medicine services, particularly when it comes to preventive care and holistic treatments that address root causes rather than just symptoms. By not accepting insurance, we can maintain our focus on individualized care, spend more time with each patient, and offer a wider range of services that may not be covered under traditional plans. We want to ensure that you receive the best possible care without being constrained by insurance policies. We can provide detailed invoices that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Do you use lab testing?

Yes, we will recommend various lab tests to gain insights into your health and guide our treatment plan. Unless the patient desires, we do not immediately suggest specialty lab testing in most cases.

How long will it take to see results?

Results can vary based on individual circumstances and the complexity of your condition, but many patients begin to notice improvements within a few weeks to months. It is important to remember that healing your body takes time and this should not be looked at as a quick fix.

Can I continue my current medications?

Yes. Most times it is necessary to stay on your medication while you are beginning your health journey. Our ultimate goal may be to come off of medications, but this requires healing first in order to wean off safely.

Can I use my insurance for labs?

Yes. Many routine labs can be run through national laboratories that may bill your insurance depending on your plan. However, some advanced functional tests are not typically covered by insurance. We review all testing options and costs with you before ordering anything so you can decide what makes the most sense for you..
